College Help

Hello America

My name is Damian, I am 18 and recently graduated from a high school in Dallas, Tx.

I am looking forward to college and have recently been accepted in Angelo State University.

I will hopefull be majoring in International Business with a focus on Marketing. I understand theres many people in need, some are in better situations and others are worse off.

   In my situation I am the oldest in my family as I have a younger brother and sister both in middle school. My sister Jessica was born with Holoprosencephaly and Hydrocephaly, both malformations of the brain where it was not divided right and cerebrospinal fluid rushed to the ventricles of the brain causin damage.She was born like that and due to these conditions, she is unable to talk or walk. Thank God for technology as she is stable and has not suffered from seizures in about a two years. I have learned so much from her, as I value the simplest things like being able to carry on a conversation or play football. Every moment counts, and we should not take for granted any moment of this life given to us. I have realized living to the fullest is the only way to be happy, and with a positive mindset nothing is impossible. My father is a hard working man, he has been able to carry on his own small business in the auto glass industry. Replacing car windshields and windows everyday as long as I can remember has been his job. With it he provide us with the needs a family should have. Never have I gone out without having three meals a day or having warm water to shower all thanks to my hard working dad. Unfortuately he cannot easily pay for my college and my small savings are not much to pay college. My goal to play soccer in college and get a scholarship was ruined last year as I fractured my ankle and never healed right. I had played since I was 8 years old and for some reason my skills were taken away by a serious injury. I graduated in the second half of my 642 student class and maintained a 2.8 GPA. My grades were not the best yet, I never failed a class. I am still looking for a government loan and different scholarships and want to raise and save as much money as I can before school beings.

Now that I told you my situation, I know theres many good people out there. Even if its a very small amount of donation money or whatever it is, God will recompense everything. I will appriciate any kind of help and am willing to talk one on one if you have any questions.
